IEEE award for designer of DRS4 Chip - Dr. Stefan Ritt

We would like to congratulate Dr. Stefan Ritt on winning the Emilio Gatti Radiation Instrumentation Technical Achievement Award, which was handed over to him at the IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium (October 2020). The award is given by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) to individuals in recognition of significant and innovative technical contributions in the broad field of radiation detectors.

DRS4 chips, an affordable sampling chip for waveform digitizing in the GHz range, are used across the world, for applications ranging from atomic-, nuclear- and particle-physics experiments to astronomy and to medical diagnostics application.
